2018 Honda Fit…the best Fit yet!
With the 2017 Honda fit winning several awards and most important, 2017 Best Subcompact Car for the Money the 2018 Honda Fit has big shoes to fill. This is the first refresher since the 3rd generation fit release in 2015. With subtle exterior changes and added driver technology in the 2018 Honda Fit we believe it will hold the top position in the subcompact segment. Standard features on the 2018 Honda fit include backup camera, auto headlights, Bluetooth, and LED tail lights. The Sport trim which has been gone since the release of the third generation reappears on the 2018 Honda Fit. The Sport trim ads orange interior stitching, black alloy wheels, upgraded audio front and side under body spoiler, fog lights, chrome exhaust tip, and sport badge on the hatch.
2018 Honda Fit Exterior
The 2018 Honda Fit has an all new two piece black and chrome grill with update front fascia. The front fascia strongly mirrors the look of the 2017 Honda Civic and the soon to debut 2018 Honda Accord. Base models are equipped with 15 in steel wheels with hubcaps while the Sport model and above have 16 in alloy wheels. Although it is hard to tell the rear bumper on the 2018 Honda fit has also been redesigned. Honda introduces two new colors on the Honda Fit, Orange Fury and Yellow pearl.
2018 Honda Fit Interior and Technology
Inside the cabin of the 2018 Honda Fit is where you will notice most the changes from this refresher. The Lx model is equipped with a 5 in audio screen. While the Sport and above is equipped with a 7 in display with android auto and apple car play. One of the biggest complaints Honda has received on new models is the disappearance of the volume knob. You will be happy to see they have brought back the knob in the 2018 Honda Fit. A new digital tachometer with a 4.2 in color display is available in all models with Honda Sensing.
The Ex trim is equipped with key less entry, mood roof, push button start, and Honda lane watch. The top trim level decked out Honda fit, Ex-l adds heated leather interior and heated side mirrors. All 2018 Honda Fit trim levels feature the Honda Magic seats. With 4 seat configurations it makes the Honda fit the most functional subcompact vehicle in the market.
2018 Honda Fit Power train and Safety
While most the Honda lineup now includes turbocharged power trains the Honda fit is still a naturally aspirates 1.5 4 cylinder. With the 6 speed manual transmission available in LX, Ex and sport the power train will output 130 hp with 114 pound-feet torque. The CVT transmissions available in all trim levels outputs 128 hp with 113 pound-feet torque. Models equipped with the CVT transmission also offer a sport mode with paddle shifters. Honda sensing is standard in Ex and above which is above and beyond safety features of its competitors.
