2021 Honda Accord Engine Specs

A Look Under the Hood of the Honda Accord

There are a few different engine options you’ll have with the 2021 Accord, each providing its own unique benefits. Those powertrain options are:

  • 1.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine
  • 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine
  • 2.0L inline 4-cylinder hybrid engine

Starting with the standard 1.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, the Accord is able to produce 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. With this engine, the 2021 Accord gets an EPA-estimated 30 city/38 highway in both the LX and the EX-L trim levels.*

The available and even more powerful 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine generates 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The third option is the hybrid powertrain. Available in the EX-L and standard in the Hybrid and Hybrid EX trim levels, this hybrid engine generates 212 total system horsepower and helps the Honda Accord get an impressive EPA-estimated fuel economy of 48 city/48 highway MPG.*

2021 Honda Accord Driving

Your Safety Is a Standard Priority in the 2021 Accord

There are also plenty of standard features you’ll get with the 2021 Honda Accord. That includes the following driver-assistive features that come with Honda Sensing®:

  • Collision Mitigation Braking System™
  • Road Departure Mitigation System
  • Lane Keeping Assist System
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow
  • Traffic Sign Recognition

These systems constantly monitor your driving and the driving of others around you to help keep you out of harm’s way. If the car in front of you suddenly slows down, the Collision Mitigation Braking System™ will quickly apply the brakes of your Accord to also bring your car to a stop.

The Road Departure Mitigation System makes sure you stay safely on the roadway by making corrective steering any time you start to drift outside the lines. You can even enjoy safe and relaxed highway cruising since Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow automatically slows down your Accord and then resumes speed based on traffic patterns.
