Under the hood, the HR-V features a sizable 4-cylinder engine that can pump out 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. This will arm you with the power necessary to handle those Florida roadways with ease, whether you’re hitting the highways or cruising the downtown streets.

The HR-V is also fitted with a state-of-the-art transmission. As part of the standard powertrain configuration, the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with Sport Mode works to optimize shifting. This transmission, automatic in nature, does not feature set gear ratios but works to find ones continuously in order to provide the most premium experience possible.

This transmission helps all HR-V trims equipped with 2WD earn an impressive EPA-estimated 28 city/34 highway MPG.¹ So, you will not have to worry about frequent pitstops.
