Looking to enjoy a more efficient commute around Tampa, Citrus Park, and Lutz, Florida? Well then, it's time to consider a new Honda electric or hybrid car! With one of these models, you’ll enjoy fun driving, less or no stops at the gas pump, and a reduction in your overall carbon footprint.
With so many options, our Tampa Honda team wanted to give you a quick overview of what each of these Honda electric and hybrid cars offers!
Hybrid cars are becoming more and more popular—especially the ones that Honda builds. Honda takes some of its most popular models and adds a hybrid powertrain option to give you everything you love about driving a Honda, with increased fuel efficiency.
First, there is the Honda Accord Hybrid. The 2-motor hybrid system gives you a total EPA-estimated driving range of 614 miles, with an EPA-estimated 48 city/48 highway MPG in the Hybrid, the Hybrid EX, and the EX-L trims.1 Whether you're heading out on a road trip or commuting throughout the week, a tank of gas in the Accord Hybrid will last you a while.
Plus, you’ll enjoy a relaxed and entertaining ride in your car, with Honda Sensing® technology and Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration standard in the Honda Accord Hybrid.
There is also the Honda CR-V Hybrid. With it, you'll have a versatile SUV that can go from comfortably seating five passengers to being packed up for a day at the beach, your big move, or a shopping spree. It offers a maximum 68.7 cubic feet of cargo volume.
Along with its useful utility, the hybrid powertrain also helps the CR-V achieves an EPA-estimated 40 city/35 highway MPG in the EX, the EX-L, and the Touring trim levels.2
The Honda Insight is another hybrid option; however, this time it is its own unique car. The Insight also is powered by a 2-motor hybrid system, which helps it get up to an EPA-estimated 55 city/49 highway MPG in its base EX trim level.3 It offers the same great look and feel of driving a Honda.
Inside, it comes with an 8-inch touchscreen, which facilitates Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® integration. Also, it has the Blind Spot Information System, which can detect and alert you of any vehicles that are approaching from either side of your Insight.
The Honda Clarity offers even more eco-friendly performance. This model is a plug-in hybrid, so you get to enjoy the best of both worlds.
It can run on stored electric energy for up to 47 miles on a single charge, which gives you emission-free performance when heading to work or to the grocery store. It can even capture energy through regenerative braking to help you get more out of each charge.
Then, when needed for longer commutes, it can switch to running off the gas that is in the tank. Even when powered purely off gas, it still gets an EPA-estimated 44 city/40 highway MPG in both of its two trim levels.4 Overall, it has an EPA-estimated total-driving range of 340 miles.4
As you can see, Honda is committed to offering drivers in Tampa, Citrus Park, Lutz, FL, and beyond plenty of options when they are looking for a truly eco-friendly vehicle.
